PRROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR

Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for identifying projects to pursue, and preparing estimates for public and private projects. Developing budgets, general conditions, subcontractor and vendor vetting and management, comparative bid analysis, value engineering, and other responsibilities necessary to compile a complete and accurate project winning bid.

Job Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and managing the estimating process, identifying a complete work scope and managing assistants and vendors throughout that process to successfully assemble the winning bid
  • Work closely with Architects and clients to build successful relationships
  • Evaluate all project documents; drawings, specifications, etc. in order to prepare accurate estimates of material, labor and subcontractor costs for projects
  • Work closely with estimating and project management team members
  • Take an active role in business development opportunities
  • Quantity take-off and unit pricing for bid preparation
  • Provide value engineering to aid in private and internal development bidding opportunities
  • Manage Subcontractor and vendor bids through qualification and selection
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of bids and estimates

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management, or (5) years active estimating and/or project management experience, in a general construction office, with (3) years minimum experience in estimating
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite; MS Word, Excel, and MS Project
  • Proficiency in Construction Management software, such as Procore
  • Proficient in Sage or other established estimating programs
  • Professional people, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Adaptable to working independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills are paramount to this position
  • Must possess attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through in all aspects of the job

SITE SUPERINTENDENT

Bonacquisti Brothers Construction is seeking applicants for an experienced Site Superintendent. This position will provide overall leadership for on-site field administration, supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of assistants, foreman, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel. Direct them in planning, coordination and execution of work to be on time, within budget, attaining or exceeding profit goals, maintaining a safe workplace, promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company image. Superintendent must be capable of ground up projects from 1 to 5 million dollars in value.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with field and office personnel to create a safe work site and enforce all OSHA regulations. Lead weekly safety meetings for contractor’s project staff
  • Schedule crews and subcontractors to achieve critical path and coordinate everyday tasks involved in the construction process.
  • Arrange for material and equipment to be on site as needed through coordination with the project manager, vendors and office staff.
  • Work with the foremen to coordinate the daily production plan.
  • Oversee Quality control of GC’s and Subcontractor’s work.
  • Provide daily reporting of all work completed.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve production issues and verifying the execution of corrective actions. Working with the Project Manager, Design Professionals and Clients as needed to accomplish the task.
  • Work to keep the project on schedule, meet the specifications, keep the project safe, and meet the expectations of the Project Manager and Client.
  • Track the schedule of the project and adjust durations and sequencing to adapt to changes in field conditions or work scope.
  • Interface with the owner as necessary to represent the company in field

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Site Superintendent experience as well as a Minimum 5-years of Assistant Site Superintendent, Foreman or Trade experience  is required.
  • OSHA 10 hour – Required, OSHA 30 hour – Preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Organizational and communication (written & verbal) skills are required.
